 The setting: The town of Rementon, where all sorts of strange events are happening.
That's the working brief which was presented to members of RLC. What the volume contains is a pair of introductory sections then 22 essays in various styles.
Some of the essays are connected by common characters, some are one-off interpretations of the working brief.
Some of the essays are stories about people who are coming to terms with limitations in their lives and/or expectations. Some are flights of fantasy, which delve into the realms of science fiction, the occult, magic and much more.
This is an example of where a group of people who inhabit various parts of what has to be called the 'writing spectrum' now can go when presented with a challenge.
Will there be another project like this? It's rather doubtful, given the amount of time the RLC authors have spent working on other projects; some old, some new; since the inception of this one. But they did stick at it. And we have this volume to show for their efforts.
